This program is one of our longest running in the Portland area. Students served at this location are primarily those that have not found success at programs in Portland Public School District. The students that come to us are in search of an alternative program with smaller class size and integrated curriculum to earn a high school diploma. Students receive quality instruction in all classes required to complete an Oregon diploma. In order to bridge the gap between high school and post-secondary education, McCoy Academy offers ASPIRE; a state-funded program which provides transition services to Oregon students. Additionally, students are given the opportunity to tour various colleges, universities, and vocational training sites.

We provide services for 10th to 12th graders with a maximum of 15 students. The program consists of one class from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Any interested students may apply directly by contacting the academy at (503)281-9597.

The historic building located at 3802 NE MLK Jr. Blvd has served as OOI main offices and the Gladys McCoy Academy since 1994. This location currently serves students from St. John’s, Beaverton, Clackamas, Northeast and Southeast Portland and is funded solely on grants and donations.
