Ways to Give to OOI and Our Students

Oregon Outreach is a private, nonprofit accredited high school serving youth and adults who are  earning their high school diploma in one of our academies. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donations are tax deductible.

A high school diploma is a critical first step in an individual’s path to success in life, but there are often obstacles that can derail even the best students. Two of the biggest barriers to obtaining a high school diploma are cost and classroom location.

Your donation helps OOI provide a free (or low cost) high school education to individuals facing barriers, or simply living in an area where there are no high school diploma programs for adults. Although our programs in Scappoose and Molalla are funded by the local school districts, most of the funding for the McCoy Academy programs – which enroll urban youth in North Portland, and adult learners throughout Oregon – rely upon donations.

Private high schools typically charge thousands of dollars more in tuition than Oregon Outreach to cover all of their costs. Consequently, Oregon Outreach attracts students who are unable to afford those rates. Our low tuition rate, however, does not cover all of the costs. Yet we believe that anyone who has the desire and motivation to earn a diploma should be able to do so, without regard to income or location. That’s why we need your help to keep our tuition affordable for everyone.
